George Lucas, CPA, joined Michael Silver & Company as a partner in 2003. Prior to that, George spent over 25 years in industry at several companies including serving as the Controller of a national wholesale distributor of electrical supplies, CFO of a food manufacturing company and CFO of a bottled water company. After that, George founded his own accounting firm in 2002 before merging his practice with Michael Silver & Company in 2003.
George’s experience includes the acquisition and due diligence of several companies from both the buyer’s and seller’s point of view including assisting with sales negotiations related to an acquisition by a Fortune 500 company. His other industry experience includes real estate development, construction, food processing, wholesale distribution, and light manufacturing.

George is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
