Gregory D. Teister joined Michael Silver & Company in 2002 as a partner. His prior experience includes 17 years as a tax partner at a CPA firm he co-founded, six years with a large publicly-held manufacturer, and five years with a national public accounting firm.

Greg specializes in tax planning and compliance for individuals, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, trusts and non-profit organizations. He advises individuals and businesses on the tax aspects of various transactions, including the purchase or sale of businesses, properties and investments, and has developed expertise in a variety of industries. He also represents his clients in federal and state tax audits.

He is a certified public accountant, licensed by the State of Illinois, and is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree in Accountancy from DePaul University in Chicago, graduating with highest honors.
