Mark D. DeVience, CPA, has been with Michael Silver & Company since 1986. Before starting at MS&Co., Mark worked as an auditor for six years at a local CPA firm.

Mark focuses in the area of federal and state income tax planning and compliance. He has numerous years of experience representing clients before the IRS, state, and local tax agencies. His prior experiences allow him to provide business consulting, which blends both business and tax perspectives. Mark’s approach to handling conflicting opinions and adversarial situations was featured in an article by a nationally syndicated newspaper columnist.

Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society, United States Trotting Association, and Illinois Harness Horsemen’s Association. Mark is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Accounting and received his Master’s in Taxation from DePaul University.

Mark owns race horses and enjoys watching them on the track when he is not in the office.
